pearl millet dosa is just like rava dosa, but healthy and tasty. to make it colourful, I have added beet root purée to it.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup pearl millet flour
  2. 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
  3. 1 tbsp Rice Flour
  4. 1 tbsp beet root purée
  5. 1 tbsp finely chopped Onion
  6. 1 Tbsp Finely chopped coriander
  7. 3/4 - 1 cup water
  8. Salt, to taste
  9. Oil, for frying
  10. For the dip
  11. 1/2 cup hung curd
  12. 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  13. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  14. 1 TSP chopped coriander
  15. Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. For the dosa, mix all the dry ingredients and make a thin batter with water. the batter should be thin and flowing easily and spreadable.
  2. Take the dosa tawa or any flat pan and heat it on gas.
  3. When it is sufficiently hot, spread the batter on the tawa from periphery and then filling the gaps in centre .
  4. Take care to not spread in a thick layer or dosa will not be crisp, so keep the consistency of batter easy flowing one.
  5. Fry the dosa on both sides with sufficient oil .
  6. Similarly , make all the dosas.
  7. For the dip, mix all the ingredients well and garnish with more pomegranate seeds and coriander.
  8. Serve the dosa hot with the dip or any other chutney of your preference.
