Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Chicken boneless 300 gm
  2. Poppy seed paste half cup
  3. Charmagaz paste 1 cup
  4. Mustard paste half cup
  5. Sour cream 5tsp
  6. Yoghurt 5tsp
  7. Kasturi methi 4tsp
  8. Mustard oil 1tsp
  9. Bay leaf 4 to 5
  10. Onion paste half cup
  11. Tomatoe 1 to 2 pureed
  12. Chilli 3 to 4
  13. curry leaves
  14. Tamarind 1tsp
  15. sugar 1tsp
  16. Pepper Powder 1tsp
  17. Ginger Paste 1 Tsp
  18. Ghee 1tsp

Instructions

  1. First wash the boneless chicken and cut into finely cubes as paneer cubes.
  2. Marinate the chicken with poppy paste, charmagaz paste, sour cream, yoghurt, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt for 2 hrs.
  3. Now heat oil in a pan. Add the marinated chicken. Stir fry them till they turn golden brown and tender.
  4. Now add the onion paste and all the ingredients. Sautee them thoroughly. Add tomatoe puree and tamarind, simmer for 30 mins.
  5. Now add kasturi methi and cover the lid. Drizzle ghee and curry leaves. The chicken posto should be moderately dry in consistency.
  6. Add sugar as per choice. I used 1tsp sugar to get the khatti meethi flavour.

Yoghurt and cream make the gravy thick.
