ABOUT Stewed Plum Delight RECIPE

The plum is very low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. It is also a good source of dietary fiber, and vitamins A, C and K. These delicious, succulent fruits are quite low in calories. Plum sherbet is such a delight in summers.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Plums peeled, pitted and quartered- 8
  2. Star anise 2
  3. 150 gms Sugar to make syrup Or you can use Honey as healthy option
  4. Black salt 1 tbsp
  5. Pepper powder a pinch

Instructions

  1. Place washed and cleaned plum pieces and star anise in pan and add enough water to cover. Cook for about 10 minutes or more till it softens. Stir in between. When done, cool and strain. Now add black salt and Pepper powder into the plum pulp.
  2. Now make sugar syrup or you can use Honey as its more healthy. Mix this into the plum pulp. Refrigerate for further use.
  3. To make Plum Delight Drink take 2 tbspns of prepared pulp. Add chilled water and some crushed ice. Enjoy it to beat the heat.
