ABOUT Makai Croquettes RECIPE

A perfect snack for chilled evenings. A breadcrumbed fried food prepared using corn, potatoes and paneer.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup sweet corn
  2. 2 potatoes (boiled)
  3. 1 cup paneer
  4. 2 tablespoon all purpose flour
  5. 1 cup bread crumbs
  6. Salt (to taste)
  7. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  8. 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  9. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  10. 1/2 cup water
  11. 1 cup onions (chopped)
  12. 1 tablespoon desi ghee
  13. 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  14. 1 teaspoon green chilli paste
  15. Oil (for deep frying)

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan.
  2. Add ginger and green chilli paste and saute.
  3. Add chopped onions and saute till translucent.
  4. Mash boiled potatoes and paneer separately.
  5. Add mashed potatoes to onions and saute.
  6. Add mashed paneer and corn to this mixture.
  7. Take this mix out in a bowl.
  8. Add salt, red chilli powder, chaat masala and black pepper powder.
  9. Mix well.
  10. Grease hands and take spoonful mixture in your hands. Shape it. Make Croquettes with all the mixture.
  11. Take all purpose flour in a bowl and add water to make slurry.
  12. Dip the Croquettes in slurry and then roll in bread crumbs
  13. Heat oil for frying and fry the Croquettes till golden brown.
  14. Serve with the dip of your choice.
