Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 1 medium size onion
  2. 1/4 cup maida
  3. 1 tsp chilli powder
  4. 1 tsp oregano
  5. 1tsp thyme
  6. 1 tsp pepper
  7. salt to taste
  8. oil for frying
  9. 1 egg

Instructions

  1. take medium size onion Cut off 1/2 inch from the pointy stem end of the onion, then peel.
  2. 2. Place the onion cut-side down. Starting 1/2 inch from the root, make a downward cut all the way through to the board
  3. 3. Repeat to make four evenly spaced cuts around the onion.
  4. 4. Continue slicing between each section until you have 16 evenly spaced cuts. 5. Turn the onion over and use your fingers to gently separate the outer pieces.
  5. method take a bow add all the dry ingredients
  6. take another bowl add egg and beat well keep aside
  7. Place the onion in a separate bowl, cut-side up, and pour all of the flour mixture on top. Cover the bowl with a plate, then shake back and forth to distribute the flour.
  8. make sure the onion is fully coated, especially between the "petals." Lift the onion by the core, turn over and pat off the excess flour; reserve the bowl of flour.
  9. now using slotted spoon submerge the onion in the egg mixture
  10. remove and let the excess egg mixture drop now again do the coating with dry mixture
  11. heat the pan add enough oil when oil is hot fry the bloom onion till golden brown in color serve hot happy cooking
