ABOUT Blomming onion lotus with onion chutney RECIPE

This is type of onion bhaji with onion flavour sauce, which is as delicious to eat like it looks.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 onion
  2. 1/2 cup Maida
  3. 1 egg
  4. 2 tsp cheese
  5. 1/2 cup Milk
  6. Pepper powder...oregano powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Salt 1 tsp
  8. Red chilli powder 1tsp
  9. Tamarind small
  10. Mustard seed... oil 1/2"tsp
  11. Hing 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. First cut onion from the top, and each half inch horizontally. This way, it looks like a bloom.
  2. Mix the egg, milk, salt, pepper, oregano powder and cheese together. Now dip the onions in it and sprinkle some maida over them.
  3. Repeat this procedure 3 times.
  4. Once coated ,fry in oil till golden colour is achieved.
  5. For onion chutney : Grind onion to a paste.
  6. Heat some oil and then add mustard seeds, hing and then the onion paste, then add the red chilly powder followed by the tamarind paste. Add salt as well.
  7. Now serve this with the fried blooming onion.
