Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Raw banana 3
  2. Onions 3 Finely Chopped
  3. Mustard oil 2-3 tablespoons
  4. Green coriander 2-3 tablespoons
  5. Green chilly 2 (finely chopped)
  6. Cumin seeds 1/2 tablespoon
  7. Turmeric powder 1/4 tablespoon
  8. Red chilly powder 1/4 tablespoon
  9. Coriander powder 1 tablespoon
  10. Salt - 1 tablespoon (as per taste)
  11. Ginger paste 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Wash the raw banana thoroughly and cut them in three parts.
  2. Pour 1 glass water in pressure cooker and put whistle.After getting 3 whistles off the stove.
  3. Strain the water and allow bananas to come at room temperature.
  4. Now peel the bananas and mash them finely. Preheat oil in a pan.
  5. When oil is sufficiently hot, add cumin seeds, coriander powder, green chilly and ginger paste into it and add onions.Saute for while till it is done.
  6. Now add mashed bananas and mutter to it.Also add red chilly powder, salt and green coriander and mix all ingredients nicely.
  7. Banana bharta is ready, take it out in a plate. Serve banana bharta with chappati, parantha or rice and relish eating.
