Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Wheat flour - 1 cup
  2. Semolina/sooji - 50 grams
  3. Carom seeds - a pinch
  4. Onion seeds - a pinch
  5. Baking powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil - 1 tablespoon
  9. Clarified butter - 1 cup
  10. For stuffing
  11. Roasted gram flour/sattu - 100 grams
  12. Finely chopped onion - 2 tablespoon
  13. Finely chopped green chilly - 1/4 teaspoon
  14. Finely chopped garlic clove - 1/2 teaspoon
  15. Mustard oil - 1 teaspoon
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
  18. Finely chopped coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon
  19. Water - 5 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take a large bowl add wheat flour,semolina,baking powder,carom seeds,onion seeds,salt,turmeric powder and oil and mix well.
  2. Make a stiff dough with the help of water
  3. The texture should be crumbly keep aside for 30 mins
  4. Take a large bowl add above listed stuffing ingredients and mix well
  5. Now stuffing is ready.
  6. Divide the dough into equal size balls.
  7. Stuff the filling in the dough
  8. Wrap up the dough pieces and close from all sides.
  9. Preheat oven for 10 mins. in 250,c
  10. Grease oven wire with oil
  11. Place the bati in preheated oven and bake for 5 mins
  12. Flip it over till brown
  13. Deep in the clarified butter and serve hot.
