Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1+1/4 cup Shingara flour
  2. 1 /2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  3. 1/2 cup grated gur /jaggery
  4. 3/4cup chopped figs and date
  5. Few pieces of almonds
  6. dash of salt 
  7. 1 teasoon baking powder
  8. 1 teaspoon vinegar
  9. 1/2 teaspoon elaichi essence or crushed seeds of 3to 4 elaichies
  10. 1 teaspoon kewra essence

Instructions

  1. Mash chopped figs and dates with hands or masher make a thick coarse paste
  2. Mix unsalted butter, gur / jaggery figs and dates , vinegar and essence in a bowl
  3. Add Shingada flour, baking powder,, mix well.
  4. Crumble and make a soft dough .don't over work to the dough
  5. Keep the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes with the cover of cling sheet .
  6. Make balls press little and place half of almonds over each ball .
  7. 180 0 for 12 to 15 minutes or till bake .
