ABOUT Shahi sago Biryani RECIPE

This is very healthy yet easy to digest biryani. It can be enjoyed in routine as well as in fasting time.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup sabudana pearls
  2. 1 , 1/2 cup water to soak
  3. 1 medium potato chopped into little pieces
  4. 1/2 cup makhane
  5. 1 tablespoons ghee
  6. 1/2 cup chopped paneer in small pieces
  7. 2 green chillis chopped
  8. 1 tablespoon kishmish
  9. 2 tablespoon pomegranate kernels
  10. Curry leaves 8-10
  11. Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
  12. Salt according to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse sabudana, then soak in water overnight in a flat bowl or pan.
  2. In the morning the water should be soaked into the pearls and they should be soft when you squeeze between two fingers.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan and roast makhane , potatoes , paneer turn by turn till golden brown.
  4. Now take a pan heat ghee , then add the green chilis and curry leaves and fry for a couple of seconds.
  5. Mix the soaked sabudana, potato, makhane, and paneer .
  6. Steam for 2 minutes. The sabudana should be translucent and soft, but not sticking together.Add lemon juice. Switch off the flame.
  7. check the salt level. Top with pomegranate kernels and kishmish. Serve immediately.
