Make gulab jamuns even during fastings by making with farali flours its very delicious

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Roasted sweet potatoes -3-4 no.
  2. Chestnut flour -3tbsp
  3. Khoya/mawa -2tbsp
  4. Milk powder -2tbsp
  5. Cardamom powder -1tsp
  6. chopped nuts for garnishing
  7. Oil for Deep frying
  8. For sugar syrup
  9. Sugar-2cups
  10. Water -2cups
  11. Few saffron strands
  12. Lemon juice -1/2

Instructions

  1. Mash roasted sweet potatoes .
  2. Add milk powder.
  3. Add water chestnut flour.
  4. Add mawa /khoya.
  5. Add cardamom powder .
  6. Combine all ingredients well to make a soft smooth dough .
  7. Meanwhile prepare sugar syrup till gets one string consistency add saffron strands and lemon juice to avoid crystallization .
  8. Meanwhile heat oil in a deep wok it shud be mild hot while frying gulab jamun balls.
  9. Make lemon size balls out of the dough no cracks there .
  10. Sift prepared gulab jamun balls slowly in the oil.
  11. Keep stirring hot oil so that balls may rotatates and fry evenly from all sides.
  12. Keep an eye on the flame while frying gulab jamun evenly.
  13. When gulab jamun turns brown in colour take them out on absorbent paper
  14. Soak in hot sugar syrup for 20 -30 minutes .
  15. Garnish with some chopped nuts.
  16. Healthy gluten free gulab jamuns are ready to serve during fast -cum -feast.
