ABOUT Stuffed Capsicum RECIPE

We can make capsicum by using different stuffins. usually it is prepared with stuffing potatoes. Here i have stuffed it with unique stuffing made of split bengal gram. It tastes amazing .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Capsicum 6-7 small sized
  2. Split bengal gram 100 grams
  3. Fennel seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Red chilly powder 1/2 Teaspoon
  7. Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  8. Garam Masala 1/4 tablespoon
  9. lemon juice 1 tablespoon
  10. Sugar 1/2 teaspoon (optional )
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Oil 3 tablespoon
  13. Butter 3 tablespoon
  14. Coriander leaves to garnish

Instructions

  1. Soak split bengal gram for three to four hours.
  2. Grind soaked slpit bengal gram coarsely with salt and fennel seeds but without water.(If you are adding sugar than it should be added while grinding )
  3. Heat oil in a wok add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let it splutter.
  4. Add red chilly powder, cumin powder and ground mixture .
  5. Add salt and garam masala , mix well.
  6. Cook covered for three to four minutes.
  7. Transfer this cooked dal into a plate and squeeze lemon juice.
  8. Take capsicums and cut its top. Carefully remove seeds.
  9. Brush some melted butter inside the capsicums.
  10. Fill the capsicum with cooked stuffing.
  11. Brush some melted butter outside the capsicum too.
  12. Preheat oven at 200 degree.
  13. Bake these stuffed capsicums for 15 to 20 minutes or till tender.
  14. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve as starter or with dal rice
