Navratri days are around the corner and here i am presenting yummy and healthy chesnut flour kadhi for vrat with the twist of lauki /bottle guard pakoras made in appam pan with 1 table spoon oil ..Isn't it magic .???

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For Pakoras
  2. 1/2 cup grated bottle guard /lauki
  3. 1 /2 cup buck wheat flour /kuttu aata
  4. 1 table spoon chopped coriender leaves
  5. 1 to 2 chopped green chillies
  6. 1 /2 tea spoon rock salt /sendha namak
  7. 1/2 tea spoon red chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tea spoon black paper powder
  9. 1 tea spoon oil
  10. For Kadhi
  11. 1/2 cup chesnut flour /singhara aata
  12. 1 glass sour butter milk
  13. 1/2 tea spoon salt
  14. 1/2 tea spoon black pepper
  15. 1 tea spoon oil
  16. 1 to 2 choped green chillies
  17. 4 to 5 chpopped curry leaves
  18. 1 tea spoon desi ghee
  19. 1,/2 tea spoon cumin seeds
  20. 1/2 tea spoon redchilli powder
  21. 2 to 2 + 1/2 to glass of water

Instructions

  1. Grease the appam pan with oil and pre heat the pan
  2. Collect all the dry ingredients for pakora in a bowl
  3. Make a thick batter with sufficient water
  4. Then pour 1 table spoon of batter in each cavity of pre heated pan and cook from both sides till golden in colour then take them out
  5. For kadhi
  6. Make a smoth batter of butter milk and flour with salt and pepper use 1/2 glass of water to make a lump free batter
  7. Heat a heavy pan with oil crackle cumin seeds then add green chillies with curry leaves
  8. Pour the butter milk over it add rest of the water in it mix properly
  9. Give 1 to 2 boils on high flame then cook on simmer till 15 to 18 minutes
  10. Add pakoras and let the kadhi cook another 2 to 3 minutes
  11. Off the flame
  12. Heat ghee in another pan add red chilli powder in it .At once off the flame
  13. Pour this tempting over kadhi
  14. Serve with samak rice or buckwheat flour parantha for vrat /fast
