ABOUT Moong Dal Gravy-Whole Green Gram Dhal Curry RECIPE

Green gram is known as "pachai payaru" in tamil. This gravy is a best side dishes for chapati and rice.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Whole Green gram 1/2 cup
  2. Tomato's 2
  3. Big onion 1
  4. 3 green chillies
  5. Mustard seeds half tablespoon
  6. few curry leaves
  7. Few coriander leaves
  8. Oil 2 tablespoon
  9. Cumin seeds half tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Wash and Pressure cook green gram with enough water
  2. Chop onions and tomatoes into cubes. And ready with rest other ingredients
  3. Add oil in a hot pan. Sizzle with mustard seeds, jeera seeds and curry leaves
  4. Add chopped onions and green Chillies. Fry it till onion turns golden colour
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and fry it again till tomato gets soft
  6. Add little water salt and turmeric powder. Let it cook for 2 minutes
  7. Add cooked dal and some water. Let it boil for 5 minutes
  8. Once everything cooked well garnish with few coriander leaves
