ABOUT Gramflour & carrot bites RECIPE

This receipe calls for a gluten-free flour (besan =gram flour) that commonly used in Indian cuisine, usually find in every house. This contains shredded carrots, making then nice and colourful and a creative way to include more veggies in your baby's diet!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 carrots peeled & grated
  2. Gramflour 1 cup
  3. Wheatflour 1/2 cup
  4. Chopped Green chillies 5
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Oil 2 tbsp
  7. Hing a pinch
  8. Ajwaain 1/2 tsp
  9. Chatmasala

Instructions

  1. Knead the gram flour, wheat flour with salt, ajwaain, oil, green chillies, hing and water.
  2. Make balls and roll into rotis.
  3. Grate carrot and Sprinkle chat masala, salt in it.
  4. Heat a tawa or non stick pan on medium to high flame. And place the roti in it put shredded carrots on rotis like this.
  5. Now cover with another roti & press with your fingertip.
  6. Turn it after 2 mins when you see the underside slightly browning. Add a drop of oil on the flipped side and flip it back again. Then add another drop of oil on the other side.
  7. Cut it into 4 pieces when both the sides are golden and well cooked.
  8. Serve with butter, ketchup or pickles.
