ABOUT BLACK FOREST CAKE RECIPE

Black forest cake is loved by all , this is a combination of layered chocolate cakes with whipped cream filling and cherries.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 200 gm all purpose flour
  2. 100 gm sugar
  3. 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  4. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  5. 1 cup curd
  6. 1/2 tsp baking powder
  7. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  8. 1/2 cup milk if required
  9. For icing :
  10. 2 cup whipped cream
  11. chocolate shaving [ 1 cup]
  12. cherries - 10
  13. sugar syrup - 1/4 th cup

Instructions

  1. Sieve the maida, baking powder and baking soda, keep aside.
  2. Now whisk the butter and sugar in a bowl, until fluffy enough. Then add the curd, vanilla essence and whisk again. Fold in the maida mixture and milk in 3 parts, mix until everything is incorporated well.
  3. Now pour the batter into a greased baking tin, bake this in a pressure cooker for 40 minutes. Once the cake is cooled enough, demould it.
  4. Now cut the cake into 3 layers, sprinkle sugar syrup on all the layers, and ice the cake with the whipped cream and cherries in each layer. cover the cake with cream completely.
  5. Decorate the cake with generous amounts of chocolate shavings and cherries, serve the cake chilled.
