Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 medium size lauki
  2. Crumbled paneer 1/2 cup
  3. One onion.
  4. Garlic 3-4 pods
  5. Ginger 1/2 inch
  6. 1 tomato
  7. Yogurt 1/2 cup
  8. Cashew 5-6
  9. 1 bay leaf
  10. Cardamom 1
  11. cinnamon 1
  12. Salt
  13. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  14. Coriander Powder 1 tsp
  15. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  16. Garam masala. 1/2 tsp
  17. oil as needed

Instructions

  1. Wash the bottle gourd, remove the skin and cut both sides.
  2. Remove the pith of the lauki using a knife.
  3. Heat water in a big pot boiled the lauki for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Drain and let it dry.
  5. For filling.
  6. Take paneer add salt, garam masala, coriander powder, red chilli powder mix well.
  7. Stuff this mixture inside the boiled lauki.
  8. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the lauki on low flame.
  9. Remove from pan.
  10. For gravy.
  11. Heat oil in a pan.
  12. Add bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon and fry for a few seconds.
  13. Add onion, ginger, garlic paste and fry for a minute.
  14. Add cashew nut paste and curd.
  15. Fry for a minute.
  16. Add tomato puree and 1/2 cup water fry for a minute.
  17. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric, salt cook for 4-5 minute.
  18. To serve arrange the stuffed lauki in plate.
  19. Pour the gravy.
