ABOUT CHEESE ALOO PARATHA SAMOSA RECIPE

Is this a Paratha or Samosa !!!! These Paratha Samosa are a delicious and healthy twist on tradition Samosa and aloo Paratha . Although the ingredients are the same as samosa , they are made like a Paratha ...... And they taste absolutely delicious !!!!!!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Potato 3 medium sized , boiled and mashed
  2. Onion chopped 1 large
  3. Ginger and garlic chopped 1tablespoons
  4. Green chilli chopped 4 no
  5. Carom seeds 1teaspoon
  6. Mango powder 1teaspoon
  7. Grated cheese 4 tablespoons
  8. Roasted peanut 2 tablespoons
  9. For the dough .......
  10. Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup
  11. Salt to taste
  12. butter 1 tablespoon
  13. Oil 2 tablespoons
  14. Garam masala powder 1teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt and butter. Add the water as needed to make a firm and smooth dough . Knead the dough on a lightly oil surface for about one minutes . Cover the dough and set aside for at least 10 minutes .
  2. FILLING ......... Heat oil in a pan on medium heat . Oil should be moderately hot, add carom seeds and green chillies .
  3. Now add the onion and chopped ginger and garlic and stir fry about 2 - 3 minutes . Now add the roasted peanut and potatoes and mix well .
  4. Sprinkle the garam masala powder and mango powder and salt mix well and turn off the flame .
  5. Let the filling cool to the room temperature.
  6. After the dough is set , knead again until smooth . Divide the dough into two equal halves . Use dough ball for making the Samosa and roll giving it a round shape with your hands .
  7. Place it on the rolling pin and roll out lengthwise , thinly . Lift one part and stuff the filling and give a fold with a fork .
  8. Heat a pan over a medium heat . Add about few drops of oil or 1tablespoons oil and place the samosa on the pan .
  9. When the paratha Samosa start to change colour from sides flip it over . Paratha will be light brown .
  10. Lightly press the Paratha all around and flip . Shallow fry the Paratha Samosa both sides until golden brown .
  11. Enjoy with the tomato sauce
