Orange Creamsicle Truffles

ABOUT Orange Creamsicle Truffles RECIPE

These truffles taste exactly same as the orange candy. Its tasty and can be made with few simple ingredients. A perfect homemade truffle recipe for kids.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup white chocolate
  2. 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  3. 2 Tbsp orange Zest
  4. 3 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  5. 1/2 tsp orange extract
  6. 1/3 cup powedered sugar
  7. Pinch of salt
  8. Pinch of orange food colour (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan add butter and orange zest mix it well till the butter is melted.
  2. Next add cream and stir continuosly till the cream is dissolved with the butter.
  3. Add orange extract, salt, orange food colour mix it well and switch off the flame.
  4. In a double boiler, melt white chocolate on a low flame stiring in intervals untill smooth.
  5. Do not over heat the chocolate as it can burn and spoil the chocolate.
  6. Once done let the melted chocolate cool down a bit so that the temperature of chocolate and the prepared butter cream mixture is the same.
  7. After the chocolate has slightly cooled down pour the butter cream mixture through a strainer in the melted chocolate.
  8. Use a spatula to press the orange zest against the strainer to release orange oil to the mixture.
  9. Discard the orange zest.
  10. Allow the mixture to stand for a minute.
  11. Mix it well so the melted chocolate and the butter cream mixture is combined nicely.
  12. Cover the prepared mixture with a plastic wrap or cling film and refrigerate it for 4 hours.
  13. Dust your hand with powdered sugar to avoid sticking and the balls can be easily rolled up.
  14. Scoop out the mixture with a spoon and roll into 1 inch balls and coat them in powdered sugar.
  15. Similarly prepare rest of the balls adnd coat them in sugar.
  16. Storage in an air tight container in the refrigerator, taste bests when served chilled.
