ABOUT Tomato Onion Raita... RECIPE

Simple raita that goes well with your favourite pulaos, biryanis or parathas. It can be whipped up with just a few ingredients in a matter of few minutes. Tastes so delicious with the crunch of the onions and the tanginess of the tomatoes and the curd. It is a must have in any party. It surely does add a bit of extra flavour to the meal served with it because no Indian meal is complete without a complimentary raita being accompanied with it. Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Onion chopped 2
  2. Tomatoes firm ones chopped 2
  3. Green chillies finely chopped 2
  4. Coriander leaves chopped a fistful
  5. Salt 1 tsp
  6. Curd 200 gms
  7. Cumin powder roasted 1 tsp
  8. Mint leaves few to garnish

Instructions

  1. Whisk the curd well with salt and cumin powder added to it.
  2. Now add the chopped onion and tomatoes into it.
  3. Green chillies can be adjusted accordingly. They can be decreased or increased as per your family's preference.
  4. Lastly stir in some chopped coriander leaves.
  5. Garnish with mint leaves and serve with biryanis, parathas or naan.
