ABOUT Badam Karachi Halwa RECIPE

This is one of my favourite recipes made by my mother, make this delicious halwa at home with this easy recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 11

  1. corn flour- 2 cups
  2. chopped badam [almonds] -1 cup
  3. Water- 11 cups
  4. sugar- 4 cups
  5. red food colour - 1 spoon
  6. ghee - 6 spoons
  7. ilachi powder [cardamom powder] - 1 spoon

Instructions

  1. For making Badam Karachi Halwa, add 2 cups of water to the corn flour and mix well. Add the food colour and mix without any lumps
  2. Heat the remaining water in a pan over medium flame. Add sugar and stir until fully dissolved
  3. Bring to boil and add the corn flour mixture. Stir well continuously. When it starts to stick to the pan, add ghee and stir again
  4. When it has reached a halwa consistency and leaves the sides of the vessel, transfer to a greased plate. Sprinkle the badam and allow it to set
  5. Just before it sets completely, cut it into desired pieces. Serve
