Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mushrooms - 250 grams
  2. For Marination
  3. Hung curd - 2 cups
  4. Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tspn
  5. Haldi - 1 tspn
  6. Kashmiri red chilli powder- 1 tspn
  7. Cumin powder- 1 tspn
  8. dhaniya powder - 1/2 tspn
  9. Salt
  10. For gravy
  11. Onions (optional) - 2
  12. Tomatoes - 2 medium
  13. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn
  14. oil
  15. Fresh butter - 2 cups
  16. Kasuri methi - 1 tspn
  17. Salt

Instructions

  1. Wash the mushrooms in Luke warm water. Cut it into four pieces.
  2. Marinate the mushrooms in the above ingredients in marination for about 1/2 hour.
  3. Till then blanch the tomatoes by boiling them in water for 5 min. Allow it to cool and remove it's skin.
  4. Heat oil in a kadhai, add cumin seeds, dry red chillies, allow them to crackle, add the chopped onions till golden brown.
  5. Heat another kadhai, add the marinated mushrooms and cook till it's water is reduced. Stir in between.
  6. When the onions are done, turn off the flame, allow it to cool and blend it along with the blanched tomatoes to fine paste.
  7. Again heat ghee in a kadhai, cook this paste for some minutes, add salt , kasuri methi, and butter and stir well. Turn off the flame.
  8. Add this gravy to the cooked mushrooms on flame, cook for another 5 min.
  9. Add some water if you don't want a thick gravy.
