ABOUT PUDINA PULAO RECIPE

This is a refreshing pulao made with pudina leaves, a lovely wholesome meal.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 bowl rice,
  2. 2 Onion's,
  3. 2 tsp ginger garlic paste,
  4. 2 tsp tomato puree,
  5. 2 green chilies sliced,
  6. Bowlful of pudina (cleaned washed),
  7. Salt,
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Garam masala - 1 tsp
  10. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  11. oil
  12. Handful of pudina for garnish,
  13. 1 tsp cumin seeds

Instructions

  1. In a heavy bottomed kadhai, heat some oil. Once it is hot enough, add the cumin seeds followed by the onion, Saute till translucent.
  2. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute for few seconds. Then add the tomato puree followed by all the powdered spices. Saute and cook till the masala is done or leaves oil.
  3. Add the chopped pudina leaves as well as the pre-soaked rice.
  4. Add required amount of water, cover with a lid, cook till the rice is done.
