Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Tomatoes - 1 kg (red & ripe one)
  2. Carrots - 2
  3. Green chilli - 1
  4. Bay leaf - 2
  5. Cinnamon - 1 stick
  6. Green Cardamom - 2
  7. Black pepper powder - (according to taste)
  8. Cloves - 4
  9. Ginger - 1 inch ( finely chopped)
  10. Sugar - 1 & a half tbsp (Can be adjusted according to taste as well)
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Black salt to taste
  13. Cream - 1 tbsp
  14. Green coriander leaves - few (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Wash all the veggies properly in water. Chop carrots, tomatoes and green chillies.
  2. In a pressure cooker add tomatoes, carrots, bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, green cardamom, black pepper powder and ginger. Give 3-4 whistles.
  3. Once the cooker cools. open and strain the mixture in a soup strainer, let it cool down.
  4. Mash everything properly then blend it in a blender.
  5. Strain in a pan and discard the waste. Heat the remaining soup on medium flame. Add cream and let the soup thickens a bit.
  6. Add sugar, both salts, black pepper powder, garam masala, Garnish with green coriander leaves and a drop of cream.
  7. Serve hot.
