ABOUT Dhokla Ki Sabji RECIPE

A lip smacking, tangy gravy with dhoklas. Perfect accompaniment with poori.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 Cup - dhokla pieces
  2. 2 - Tomatoes
  3. Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  4. Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  5. Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Asafoetoida - 1/3 teaspoon
  10. Oil - 2 tablespoons
  11. Garam masala - 1/2 tablespoons
  12. Green chilli - 2 slit
  13. Coriander leaves - 2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Cut the dhokla into small pieces. Now make puree of tomatoes.
  2. Add oil into a pan and add mustard seed and cumin seeds. When starts spluttering add asfetoida. Put tomato puree in it. Cook till it leaves oil.
  3. Add dry masalas. Salt, turmeric, coriander powder, red chilli powder. Cook for 2 mintues.
  4. Now add 2 cups of water and slit green chilli. Add dhokla to it. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add garam masala and garnish with coriander leaves.
  6. Your dhokla sabji is ready. Serve it with poori.
