I have tried this pickle for the first time and it came out really nice and tasty.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 kg - Boneless chicken
  2. 3/4 Cup - Vinegar
  3. 1/3 Cup - Mustard oil
  4. 4 Cups - Onion
  5. 1/2 Cup - Ginger garlic paste
  6. 1/4 Cup - Green chilli Paste
  7. 1 tsp- Turmeric powder
  8. 1/4 Cup - Red chilli powder
  9. Achar Masala : 1 - Bay leaf
  10. 1 tbsp - Mustard seeds
  11. 1 Tbsp - Fennel Seeds
  12. 1 tbsp - Fenugreek seeds
  13. 1 - Black cardamom
  14. 1 inch - Cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Soak the washed chicken in vinegar for 2 hours.
  2. Dry roast and grind all the spices of achari masala.
  3. Take a wide pan add mustard oil, when it come to smoking point, slow down the flame. Add onion, let it cook, now add ginger garlic paste, cook till its raw flavor gone, add green chilly paste, turmeric powder, red chilly powder and mix well.
  4. Add soaked chicken, cook for 20- 25 mins. Add salt to taste and achari masala powder, cook for 5-6 mins and off the flame.
  5. Cool down and store in clean air tight container, add 1/4 cup of mustard oil on top. ( optional) Keep refrigerated.
