ABOUT Bitter Gourd Pickle RECIPE

A very tasty pickle that wil be enjoyed by the bitter gourd haters too. Must try.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Bitter gourd - 2 cups
  2. Dry red chilies - 5- 6
  3. Fenugreek seeds - 1 teaspoon
  4. Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  5. Gingelly oil - 3-4 tablespoons
  6. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Dry roast mustard and fenugreek seeds in a hot pan along with chilies. Cool and grind to a very slightly coarse powder. Keep aside.
  2. Wash bitter gourd and chop into one inch cubes. Add salt and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  3. Squeeze well and keep aside the bitter gourd.
  4. Heat gingelly oil, add the bitter gourd and salt if required. Sauté well till cooked with a slight crunch.
  5. Add the spice powder and mix well. Put off gas and store once cool.
