ABOUT Imli Coconut Chutney RECIPE

This imli coconut chutney is has a very different flavor of the tangy imli and the sweet grainy coconut.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 - Whole coconut (Take out the shell of the coconut and cut it into small pieces)
  2. Imli - 1 cup (soak the imli in warm water for 20 minutes)
  3. salt as per taste
  4. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  5. Oil -1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take a grinding jar, add coconut pieces in it. Squeeze the water from the tamarind pulp and add to the coconut. Grind it into a coarse paste.
  2. Heat some oil, add mustard seeds. When they crackle pour the ground chutney in the tadka and switch off the flame. Cover for five minutes.
  3. Your imli coconut chutney is ready.
