ABOUT GREEN CHUTNEY- PANEER STUFFED PATTIES RECIPE

Had to make veg stuffed patties. They had to be purely veg. So decided to make "GREEN CHUTNEY PANEER STUFFED PATTIES". Here goes the recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. MAIN INGREDIENTS :
  2. Paneer 250 gms grated
  3. Green chutney as per taste
  4. Potatoes 4 boiled and mashed
  5. Coriander leaves 2 tblsp chopped finely
  6. Green chillies 2 chopped finely
  7. Almond chopped a few
  8. Cashews chopped a few
  9. Raisins a few
  10. Salt as per requirement
  11. Bread crumbs 3 tblspns
  12. Cornflour 4 tblspns
  13. Oil to fry
  14. INGREDIENTS FOR CHUTNEY:
  15. Coriander leaves chopped roughly 2 large cups
  16. Mint leaves/ pudina roughly chopped 1/2 cup
  17. Green chillies 5-6
  18. Fresh coconut 1 whole cut into pieces
  19. Ginger 2" piece
  20. Garlic cloves 3
  21. Lemon juice 2 tblspoons
  22. Jeera 1/2 tspn
  23. Salt as per taste
  24. Sugar as per your taste

Instructions

  1. Firstly grind the chutney in a mixer to a coarse paste without adding any water.
  2. Heat 2 tspn of oil in a kadai. Add to it almonds, cashews and raisins and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add to it the grated paneer, pinch of salt and saute further for 2 minutes. Remove from fire and allow to cool.
  4. Once cooled mix in the green chutney well.
  5. Add chopped coriander, green chillies, Salt, bread crumbs and corn flour to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
  6. Make equal sized balls from the mashed potatoes.
  7. Grease your palms with slight oil and flatten the potatoes on your palm.
  8. In the the center of the flattened potato add 2 tspn of paneer- chutney stuffing.
  9. With the help of the other hand slowly gather the edges of the mashed potatoes bringing it to the center and gently seal the patty. Secure it well by patting it gently.
  10. Finish molding all the patties and place it in a plate.
  11. Heat 3-4 tblspn oil in a nonstick fry pan and shallow fry each patty till nice golden brown in color.
  12. Place them on a paper tissue to remove the excess oil. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
