ABOUT Fruity Chicken Salad RECIPE

Salads and Soups have become a perennial part of our meal . A nice hot bowl of soup accompanied by a fresh salad with a nice dressing can even become our lunch or dinner. While salad dressing plays an important part/role, the fruits and vegetables that you are using must be fresh and crispy. Hence, if you are preparing salad in advance, make sure to add dressing and salt at the end just before serving. This helps to keep it fresh and crunchy. With a bit of imagination, you can create some eye catching salads and create an enjoyable experience. The salad below is inspired from Lovely’s kitchen. While she prepared her own salad using mayo, I have used store bought salad dressing which are some of my favorites. Play with ingredients to get a different salad everyday if you want to go on a salad diet. This way you will not feel bored of repetition.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup cooked chicken
  2. 1 cup boiled sweet corn
  3. 1 cup black grapes cut into half
  4. 1 cup apples chopped
  5. 1 cup pan sauteed tofu or paneer
  6. 1 cup sauteed mushroom
  7. 1 cup grated purple cabbage
  8. 1 cup grated carrots
  9. 1 cup cherry tomatoes cut into half
  10. 1 cup curd
  11. 1 tbsp zatar powder
  12. 1 tsp black pepper powder
  13. 1 tsp mint
  14. 2 tbsp thousand island salad dressing
  15. 2 tbsp creamy herb salad dressing

Instructions

  1. Mix everything together
  2. Sprinkle salt at the end
