I used to think making Rasgullas was difficult but when I had tried it for the very 1st time they turned out to be so very perfect and I was super happy with it

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 litre milk
  2. 2 cups of sugar
  3. 5 cups of water
  4. 2 -3 teaspoon of lemon juice
  5. Vanilla essence (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk
  2. Once it starts boiling add the lemon juice to curdle the milk
  3. Now separate the cheese in a muslin cloth and wash the cheese under running water in order to remove the taste of the lemon juice mixed in it
  4. Next tie the muslin cloth tightly in order to drain excess of water for 30 to 45 minutes
  5. After that take the cheese and knead it till it becomes soft and smooth and make balls from it
  6. Make sure that while making the balls they are not having any cracks .If they are having cracks then knead the the cheese again to make it smoother
  7. Heat a pan and then add sugar and water till the sugar gets completely dissolved in it
  8. Once the sugar gets completely melted add the Chenna balls and close the pan with a lid and let it boil in for about 20 minutes until they double up in size
  9. After 20 minutes turn off the gas and then let the rasgulla cool and then add 2 to 3 drops of vanilla essence, Your Home made Rasgullas are ready to eat
