As soon as the Holi is lit, most of Gujaratis celebrate "Holika Dahan" with this kind of Sevaiya. Here in Gujarat ladies with a special machine come to our colony. 8 to 10 families gather, provide her wheat flour according to the sevaiya we need. The sevaiya are made fresh during Holi

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Wheat flour sevaiya ( according to your need).
  2. Sugar powdered 1 /2 cup
  3. Ghee. 3 to 4 tbsp
  4. Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Blanched almonds, Cashew and pistachio 2 tsp ( optional ).

Instructions

  1. Take Sevaiya according to your requirement. ( I took 1 1/2 circle of Sevaiya / per person.)
  2. Boil water in a big vessel. When it starts boiling add Sevaiya to it.
  3. Let it cook in boiling water on high flame stirring occasionally. ( about 5 minutes ).
  4. Transfer in a strainer.
  5. Add ghee and Sugar( according to taste ).
  6. Add Cardamom powder, mix and serve hot.
  7. You can add blanched and chopped dry fruits and dried black currant
  8. Serve
