Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Mackerel fish 1/2 kg
  2. For marination - 1 tsp turmeric powder
  3. Salt
  4. Chilly Powder 1tsp
  5. Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  6. For gravy -
  7. Coconut oil 4 tbsp
  8. Mustard 1/2 tsp
  9. Curry leaves 4-5
  10. Onion 2
  11. Tomato 1
  12. Ginger paste 1 tsp
  13. Chilly powder 2 tbsp
  14. Coriander powder 1tbsp
  15. Cumin powder 1pinch
  16. Coconut milk 1/2 cup
  17. Tamarind 2 piece

Instructions

  1. Marinate the fish with spices above. Leave for 15 minutes
  2. Heat the pan add oil, mustard, curry leaves
  3. Saute the onion and tomato until it cooks well.
  4. Add ginger paste
  5. Add spices, chilly powder, coriander powder and saute it until raw smell goes.
  6. Add sufficient water for making gravy.
  7. Put the marinated fish pieces into it.
  8. Add salt
  9. When the fish pieces cook well add tamarind pieces add coconut milk and cook for 2 mins.
