ABOUT Strawberry Chocolate Jelly Hearts RECIPE

What better than the delicious amalgam of chocolate and strawberries for dessert. This yummy dessert has layered chocolate strawberry jelly, with veiled strawberry slices and chocolate chips to bite in between the soft, luscious and melt-in-the-mouth jelly scoops.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Ingredients for strawberry jelly:
  2. Fresh strawberries - 8 (medium sized)
  3. Fresh strawberries (sliced) - 2 (1 big, 1 small)
  4. Water - 1 cup
  5. Sugar - 1/3 cup
  6. Gelatin - 2 tsp
  7. Ingredients for chocolate jelly:
  8. Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
  9. Milk - 1 and 1/4 cup
  10. Sugar - 1/3 cup
  11. Gelatin - 2 tsp
  12. Chocolate chips - 2 tbsp
  13. Dry fruits (Almonds, cashew nuts, pistachio - chopped) - 2 tbsp, for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Grind 8 medium sized fresh strawberries and make a pulp with water and sugar.
  2. Warm this mixture. Switch the flame off.
  3. Sprinkle gelatin over it.
  4. Mix well until all gelatin is completely dissolved.
  5. Mix well until all gelatin is completely dissolved.
  6. Once it cools down, strain this mixture and pour it into the moulds.
  7. Refrigerate for about 20-25 minutes.
  8. After that gently place the sliced strawberries in the jelly mix.
  9. Press gently as it would have already began to set.
  10. Continue to refrigerate.
  11. Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate jelly.
  12. Take 1/4 cup milk and mix cocoa powder into this.
  13. Warm the remaining milk in a saucepan.
  14. Switch the flame off and sprinkle gelatin over this.
  15. Next add the cocoa mixture and sugar to the milk and mix well.
  16. Allow to cool.
  17. Then take the moulds with strawberry jelly, which is already set by now.
  18. Slowly and carefully pour the chocolate jelly mixture over it and refrigerate.
  19. Sprinkle the chocolate chips after 20-25 minutes and refrigerate again.
  20. Flip the jelly to the serving dish and garnish with chopped dry fruits and chocolate chips (chop the dry fruits and chocolate chips into smaller bits for the mini jelly version).
  21. Serve chilled.
