ABOUT Wheat flour Muruku RECIPE

This is one of my mom's recipes which are just delicious, these can be served with tea as evening snacks.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Wheat flour-2 cups
  2. Sesame seeds 2 tspoon
  3. Cooking Butter 1 tablespoon
  4. Ajwain - 1tspoon
  5. Red chilli powder 1 tspoon
  6. Cooking oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Steam cook atta in a clean white cloth, tied into a bag. You can use your idli pot/steam in pressure cook and place this bag over the idli plate.
  2. Remove the cloth from the idli cooker and allow it to cool, and then break the flour fine particles.
  3. Sieve and remove small lumps.
  4. To the fine flour, add red chili powder, salt, white sesame seeds, ajwain, and hot melted butter and Mix everything add water little by little and knead well until soft.
  5. Heat oil in a kadai.fill the press with murukku mix and press into coil shapes
  6. Deep fry in hot oil, cook both sides until the sound and bubbles reduces.
