Clean the fish and marinate with salt and turmeric powder.
Extract juice from the tamarind.
Heat a wok preferably a mud pot and add oil. Add the ingredients for tempering.
Add the shallots and saute until translucent.
Add the tomatoes and close the wok and cook until the tomatoes turn mushy.
Next add the tamarind extract and allow to boil. Once it starts boiling add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Once the raw smell of the masala and tamarind goes add the fish fillet and mango and cook for three to four minutes.
Your manga meen kozhambu is ready to be served.
