ABOUT Raw mango chutney RECIPE

Simply made yummy chutney goes with any dish from dal- rice, paratha, roti, dosa etc.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Chutney
  2. 1 Large raw mango or 250 gms.peeled and diced into small cubes
  3. 3/4 tbsp. Red chilli powder
  4. 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1 tsp. Grated jaggery
  7. For tempering
  8. 1 tsp. Mustard seeds / Rai
  9. 2 tbsps. Oil
  10. 10-12 curry leaves
  11. 1 dried chilli cut into 4-5 pcs. (Optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixie jar add raw mango cubes, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
  2. Pulse till you get a coarse paste ensuring that there are no big mango chunks left in the mixture.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Take 2 tbsps. oil in a small kadhai and heat it well.
  5. Add mustard seeds to the hot oil and let it splutter fully. Reduce flame to low.
  6. Add curry leaves and fry till they crisp up.
  7. Add the prepared mango paste to the kadhai.
  8. You can add 1 tsp. Grated jaggery to it. It is optional.
  9. Increase flame to medium and cook for a couple of minutes.
  10. Check seasoning. Let it cool thoroughly.
  11. Store in a dry jar in the refrigerator.
