This is quite a spicy dish. I'm a huge fan of Chef /Author Raghavan Iyer and this recipe is adapted from his book 660 Curries

Dry roast whole spices mentioned under Balti garam masala except chili flakes and nutmeg till aromatic. Add chili flakes and nutmeg for final roasting time. Grind to fine powder.
Clean, wash and drain chicken.
Marinate chicken with all ingredients except whole spices and oil for an hour or more.
Heat oil in wok. Add whole spices and 1 tsp red chili powder. Sauté few seconds and immediately add chicken.
Stir chicken in oil well and cover with lid. Cook chicken till its tender.
Remove lid and let all the water evaporate so only thick masala is left behind.
Finally add kasoori methi powder and give it a stir.
Remove to a serving dish and serve with naan/paratha/steamed rice.
