ABOUT Paneer parcel RECIPE

Healthy nutritious snack for kids. Wheat flour covering with paneer and vegetables stuffing.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For covering: :
  2. Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup
  3. Oats 2 tbsp
  4. Chopped fenugreek leaves 1/2 cup
  5. Salt 1 tesp
  6. oil 2 tbsp
  7. For Filling
  8. Oil 1 tbsp
  9. Onions sliced 1/2 cup
  10. Paneer 150 gms
  11. Tri colour bell pepper julliens 1/2 cup
  12. Tomato puree 1/3 cup
  13. Salt 3/4 tesp
  14. Ketchup 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients of covering and knead into a stiff dough using water.
  2. Rest the dough for half an hour.
  3. Knead again. Pinch lemon size balls. Roll into very thin disc.
  4. Heat a griddle. Place rolled disc over it. Flip after 10 seconds. In another 10 seconds remove from griddle and keep covered in kitchen towel. Make all wrappers same way.
  5. For filling heat oil in a wok. Add sliced onions and saute til tranluscent.
  6. Add bell pepper julliens and fry for a minute.
  7. Add tomato puree, ketchup and seasoning. Mix and cook well.
  8. Cut 2 inches sticks of paneer and toss in prepared sauce.
  9. Take a wrapper. Place the filling in centre and roll tightly. Prepare all wraps same way.
  10. Make a semi thick slurry of wheat flour.
  11. Dip both ends of wraps in slurry and deep fry the parcels till golden and crisp on medium heat.
  12. Drain and roll in paper napkeens.
