ABOUT Subz-ae-Amrood RECIPE

It is a sweet and sour mouth watering dish to be served with paranthas. Quick and easy to prepare

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Ripe guavas peeled and chopped in cubes 4
  2. Tomato chopped 1
  3. Cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek, fennel(together) 1 tsp
  4. Asafoetida 1 pinch
  5. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  7. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Sugar 1 tsp
  9. salt as per taste
  10. Ghee 1 1/2 tsp
  11. Coriander to Garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat ghee.
  2. Add asafoetida, fennel, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek. Wait till they crackle.
  3. Add chopped tomato and fry till it turns mushy.
  4. Add cubed guavas and stir.
  5. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and mix well, salt and sugar
  6. Add 1/2 cup of water. Cover with lid and cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame
  7. Garnish with coriander.
  8. Serve hot with paranthas.
