Festive ladoos with a twist, using multigrain flour.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup mixed flour - ( 1/4 cup besan +1/4 cup soya aata+ 1/4 cup bhune chane ka aata +1/8 cup jowar aata +2 tbsp suji)
  2. 1/2 cup ghee
  3. 1/2 cup bura chini
  4. 10-12 saffron strands
  5. 1 tbsp milk
  6. 1 tsp elaichi powder (green cardamom)
  7. 1/2 cup chopped nuts (kaju/pista or any other nuts of your choice)

Instructions

  1. Melt ghee in a heavy bottom pan and mix all the flours in it.
  2. Keep stirring and roast well till you get a good aroma of the roasted flours and a change in color to a darker brown.
  3. Soak saffron strands in milk and keep aside.
  4. When the flours are roasted well, sprinkle the milk into it and stir till the bubbles disappear.
  5. Switch off the flame and let the mixture cool.
  6. When cool, add the elaichi powder, bura chini and chopped nuts and mix well. Shape into small balls.
  7. Store in an airtight container
