Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Basmati Rice - 3/4 cup
  2. Prawns - 1/2 cup, small sized, cleaned
  3. Onion - 1 chopped
  4. Tomato - 1 chopped
  5. Turmeric - 1/8 tsp
  6. Oil - 2 tbsp
  7. Salt
  8. Masala -
  9. Green chillies - 3
  10. Garlic - 6
  11. Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
  12. Coriander - a handful

Instructions

  1. Make a paste of the ingredients mentioned under 'masala'. Add little water, maybe a teaspoon.
  2. Marinate prawns in this masala for about 30 mins.
  3. Meanwhile cook rice, drain and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add onions and saute till cooked.
  5. Add tomatoes and cook till soft.
  6. Take the onion and tomato to the side of the pan. And put prawns in. (Can take out onion and tomato on a plate, if not convenient)
  7. Cook the prawns and add turmeric powder. Mix onion, tomato and prawns together. Cook till mixture is dry.
  8. Add the cooked rice and salt and mix.
  9. Serve hot.
