ABOUT Besan Sev RECIPE

A must have with most of the chaats. It can never be an outdated one. What more could one ask for? If it's made in the comfort of your home and that too without much hassle.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Gram flour or besan 2 cups
  2. 1 tsp Salt
  3. 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  4. A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
  5. 2 tbsp hot oil
  6. 3-4 tbsp water or as needed to make a tight dough

Instructions

  1. Make a smooth but stiff dough . Care should be taken while adding water. It should be added little by little.
  2. If the dough sticks to your hand and you are not able to handle it , apply some oil to your hands .
  3. Apply some oil inside the sev making machine too .
  4. Deep fry by releasing the sev into the hot oil by going round in a clockwise motion .
  5. Serve hot as it is with tea or coffee or can be stored in an air-tight container after it has cooled down and use it in any of your chaats .
