ABOUT Crunchy , Hot Air Fried Potato Sago Fries RECIPE

Fasting recipe. Once prepared, you can use whole year by just frying. Very instant, tasty, kids l love it. During fasts, we get bored with khichadi, fruits and sweets, this recipe is a good option to bring taste. Very easy to prepare. You can make varieties by changing ingredients slightly

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boiled big potatoes 6-7
  2. Sago soaked overnight - 500gms
  3. Finely ground Green chillies 10-12 or as per taste
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Pure ghee melted 4tbs

Instructions

  1. Boiled Potatoes should be mashed. Add finely ground green chilli paste and salt in it and mix well
  2. Take whole sago in a big bowl. It must be soft , if not, then soak again for 2 hours in warm water.. When sago is perfectly soft mix it in mashed potatoes
  3. Make a dough , rub some melted pure ghee in your palm while mixing the dough.
  4. Grease the chakli mould with pure ghee and place small bolls of dough in it to make fries.
  5. Take a clean plastic sheet and keep in the Sun. Make potato sago fries over it with a chakali mould . In 5-6 hrs of good sunlight, you get sun dried potato sago fries. Dry it in strong sunlight for 5 to 6 days if you want to keep it for a longer period
  6. Keep these Sun dried fries in air tight container.
  7. Serve it by frying in hot air machine or Deep fry it in pure ghee and serve
  8. Serve it with sago khichadi or sweets during fasts. Or just serve as snacks.
