Shallow fried spicy raw jackfruit pattice stuffed with prawns.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Raw Jackfruit 500 grams
  2. Chopped onions 1
  3. Chopped tomato 1
  4. Ginger paste 1 teaspoon
  5. Garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  6. Curry powder 1 tablespoons
  7. Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  8. Ghee 1 teaspoon
  9. Prawns 200 gms
  10. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Chopped green chilli 1 tsp
  13. Refined oil for shallow frying
  14. Flour for binding

Instructions

  1. Cut clean and devein the prawns .
  2. Marinate the prawns in little turmeric powder and salt.
  3. Set it aside for 30 minutes and fry them.
  4. Now boil the raw jack fruit in pressure cooker till soft.
  5. When it cools completely mash it very well.
  6. Heat the ghee and add the chopped onions.
  7. Fry a little and add the ginger and garlic paste.
  8. Mix well add the mashed jack fruit.
  9. Stir it well.
  10. Add the curry powder.
  11. Add the chopped tomatoes.
  12. Add chopped green chilli.
  13. Mix and make into an uniform paste.
  14. Add salt to taste.
  15. Add the garam masala.
  16. Mix well and let it cool completely.
  17. Wet the palm of your hands and make flat balls or pattice out of the mixture.
  18. Add flour for binding
  19. Stuff 2 to 3 prawns fried and reserved earlier.
  20. Coat with light flour and dust the excess.
  21. Now shallow fry these patties and serve hot.
