ABOUT Oats Suji Upma RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Oats 1/2 cup
  2. Suji 1/2 cup
  3. Salt as per taste
  4. ghee as required
  5. Matar 1 tbsp
  6. cashew nuts 1 tbsp
  7. carrot 1 tbsp
  8. onion 1 tbsp
  9. green chilli as per choice
  10. beans 1 tbsp
  11. corn 1 tbsp
  12. Peanuts as per liking
  13. Pepper as per taste
  14. curry leaves a few
  15. mustard seeds 1 tsp
  16. water as required
  17. Haldi (turmeric powder) 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Roast oats and Suji in a pan. Keep aside.
  2. Take another pan and heat ghee or oil. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, oats and onion. Saute it and add green chillies.
  3. Add the vegetables, saute for a while and cook them by adding some water.
  4. When vegetables are cooked, add in the suji and oats. Add two cups water and season with salt, turmeric powder and pepper.
  5. Squeeze on some lemon juice. Roast some peanuts and cashews and garnish the upma.
