ABOUT Italian meringue RECIPE

Meringue is a type of dessert, often associated with French, Swiss, and Italian cuisine. It is made from whipped egg whites and sugar.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sugar -1cup
  2. Water-1/2 cup
  3. Egg white-4
  4. Lemon juice-1/2 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan combine sugar and water and make syrup.
  2. In a glass bowl add egg white and lemon juice and whisk it until soft peaks form .
  3. Now carefully start adding hot sugar syrup and whisk until desired stiffness is achieved.
  4. Put it into a piping bag and pipe over any cookies and bake in a preheated oven at 120 degree Celsius for 5 minutes.
