ABOUT Gooey Cinnamon Rolls RECIPE

Absolutely an all time hit companion on a wintry weekend evening with a hot cup of coffee. Hot and gooey cinnamon rich buns are just the right thing to have as a snack.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. All purpose flour 2 cups
  2. Dry yeast 2 tsp
  3. Sugar 1 tsp
  4. Castor sugar 1/2 cup
  5. Cinnamon powder 1/4 cup
  6. Warm milk 1/2 cup
  7. Butter 4 to 5 tbsp
  8. Milk powder 1/4 cup
  9. About 2 tsp of oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl mix together all the dry ingredients and set aside .
  2. Warm up the milk and dissolve a tsp of sugar . Add in the yeast and let it sit in a warm place for about a min or so or until it starts frothing.
  3. Once your yeast has been done , start kneading your dough .
  4. Use your hands for better results .
  5. After the dough is ready cover the entire dough with oil and let it rest in a warm place for about an hour and a half or until your dough has risen to double its size .
  6. Line a baking tray with foil or butter paper and grease it with a little oil .
  7. Take your dough and punch it to release the air .
  8. On a floured surface , take the dough and start rolling it out , roughly in a rectangular shape .
  9. Next, take your melted butter and start spreading it onto the entire dough making sure to start by leaving an inch from all the sides .
  10. While the butter is still getting absorbed , spread your cinnamon and brown sugar mixture onto the dough .
  11. Make sure to pat the mixture gently just so that it gets attached to the still wet butter .
  12. Carefully start folding the dough from one side .
  13. Roll it till the end and pinch the sides to ensure that everything is secure .
  14. Start cutting the rolled out dough . They should be, preferably, about an inch thick .
  15. They should look something like these when done .
  16. This step is very crucial if you desire fluffy and soft bread . Never forget to let your dough rest for about another 20 mins or so before baking it .
  17. While the dough is resting preheat your oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
  18. Bake your rolls for about 15-18 mins .
