ABOUT Drumstick Thattai RECIPE

This is a very old recipe. The drumstick leaves are mixed with rice powder along with spices A very healthy snack. Deep frying does not lose the calcium content.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup rice powder
  2. 1 tbsp roasted udad dal powder
  3. 1 tbsp roasted channa dal (phule channa)
  4. 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  5. 1/4 cup drumstick leaves cleaned
  6. 1 tsp Sesame seeds
  7. 1/2 tsp jeera
  8. Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  9. curry leaves
  10. Salt
  11. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients
  2. Heat 2 tbsp of oil and pour over the ingredients mixed
  3. Make a dough.
  4. Make small balls and flatten them to make flat poori.
  5. Deep fry till crisp
  6. Serve
