Grate amla in a vessel
Put grated amla and sugar in a glass bottle
Mix with a spoon until the sugar dissolves completely
Then strain it in a bowl until all the liquid comes out
Then in a kadai put the sugar liquid and place it on a gas and cook on low heat
Put some lime juice to clean the sugar and to get rid from crystalisation
Let it boil , if any scum comes on top then remove it
Then add amla to the liquid and add haldi and salt
Cook on low heat until 1 1/2 string consistency
When done , switch off the gas and add red chilly powder
Mix well and let it cool.down completely
Take out in a serving bowl
Let it cool completely. You can store this for the whole year
